One trend today that is very
noticeable with celebrity eye shadows is the throw back to the 80’s. The winged
eye liner is said to be a red carpet staple but winged eye shadow is one totally
different species. Very 80’s influenced and a tribute to the old style glamour,
it has not been spotted for years until now. Gutsy celebrities who set the
trend and bring back the old are to be thanked. Some of which are Mischa
Barton, Nicole Ritchie and Mary Kate Olsen. But how can regular people cop this
look with out looking a little too ridiculous. Well, since this is a very
tricky eye shadow make up to pull off, one mistake can make you look like an
80’s has been instead of trendy. Keep it fresh and modern by putting on your
eye liner first then building from there on. Start with the smallest amount of
smoky eye shadow you have ( greys work best especially if they are pale slates)
and add little by little to it. GO very lightly in the inner corners of the
eyes where make ups artists usually use lighter shades or illuminating products
that brighten the eyes. Try using a Q- tip soaked in eye make up remover to
removes the smudges o create a neat line and you’re done.
